Hello! My name is Jesse Kyzar. I am a web application developer, originally from the New Orleans area, currently living and working around Baton Rouge, LA.
My professional experience spans over years, working with multiple development platforms such as ASP.Net, Coldfusion, and PHP. My primary focus is on quality and reliability. I specialize in building ASP.Net MVC applications, WCF services, REST/JSON interfaces, and Sharepoint front-end interfaces using various jQuery plugins and web services. I have experience implementing Geo-IP targeted content delivery systems and Google's and Bing's Mapping APIs. In late 2013, I developed my first Android mobile app using Cordoba and jQuery Mobile, which included push notifications, SMS text messaging, and email notification services.
I have worked in PCI and Sarbanes–Oxley compliant environments and understand the mission-critical importance of ensuring sensitive data is properly handled and encrypted using the most up-to-date standards and best practices as well as ensuring critical controls are accessible only by authorized personnel. As part of my professional development, I regularly receive company-provided training on secure application development, after which my responsibility is to bring my colleagues and I into compliance.
I embrace the challenge of learning new technologies as web development methodologies, standards, and best practices evolve to meet ever-changing business and security needs. I work well with others, am highly adaptable, and can thrive solo or as part of a team.
On a personal level, I conduct myself in accordance with traditional Christian values. I'm known for my commitment to quality, work ethic, light-hearted sense of humor, and quick wit. My hobbies include working out, hiking, tent camping, and sometimes fishing... I love being outdoors. When it comes to music, I enjoy listening to Classic Rock, Contemporary Christian, Country and sometimes Classical or Pop. Green is my favorite color.
